All members of the Institute of Consultants Southern Africa are required and agree, as a condition of membership, to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:


A member will act with integrity at all times in all dealings with clients, the general public and fellow members.


A member will act with impartiality when giving independent advice and must disclose any relevant interests which might influence the member’s judgement or objectivity on a particular assignment.


A member will treat client information with utmost confidentiality and will neither take personal advantage of privileged information gathered during an assignment, nor enable others to do so.


A member will accept full responsibility for any work undertaken, will only accept work that the member is qualified to perform, will refrain from encouraging unrealistic expectations, will ensure that a mutual understanding of the deliverables and fees has been established with the client, and will deliver that which has been agreed upon in full.


A member will ensure that other consultants working on assignments on behalf of the member are familiar with and abide by this Code of Conduct.
