ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

The Institute of Consultants Southern Africa (IOCSA) was formed to represent all professionals who consult to, advise or counsel clients in business, government, SOE’s, NGO’s and society in general. These professionals can provide services on a permanent, interim or freelance basis.

Purpose

The purpose of the Institute is to create a flourishing, competitive consulting marketplace in which business solutions are delivered ethically for the benefit of all key stakeholders, namely the Consultant, the Client and Society.

Code of Conduct

All members of the Institute are required and agree, as a condition of membership, to adhere to a Code of Conduct.

Stakeholder Approach

The Institute believes that to be successful one needs to follow a holistic approach that recognises all stakeholders. The key stakeholders and roles that are focussed on are:
  • Consultants - Our members and prospective members who practice as consultants.
  • Clients - Clients who employ or who may wish to employ our members and who will benefit from our consultant directory, our consultant rating service, and our validation service, to name a few benefits.
  • Suppliers - Suppliers who supply or may wish to partner with the Institute and offer our members their products and services.
  • Affiliates - Members of society who may wish to become a consultant, who may be students, who may be retired or those who have an interest in the consulting profession, whomever they may be.
